Restore & Meditate

Wednesday, January 24, 2024.  7-7:45pm EST ONLINE ONLY

Over the years I have found that yoga & meditation mid-week – even just a short class – help me to maintain resiliency despite the demands of my busy life.  Yoga mid-week helps me to re-charge, let go of the stress I’ve accumulated after a few days of lawyering, and feel ready to face the second half of the week with a positive attitude.

This class begins with gentle movement, yoga, and breath work designed to ready the body and quiet the mind for a soothing 20-minute guided meditation.

This class is open to everyone. No yoga or meditation experience is required. Modifications and instructions will be offered for all levels.

Suggest props: 2 yoga blocks, 1-2 blankets, yoga bolster (or 1-2 pillows), candle.

Advance registration is required.  FREE as my gift to you for the new year. Registration Opening Soon.

This class will be recorded. Unfortunately, no refunds are allowed but the recording is available for 15 days for you to watch as many times as you like.  You will receive the link to the recording within 1-3 days of class.

A Special New Year’s Mini Yoga Retreat: Song of the Heart

Saturday, February 3, 2024 9:30-11:15am EST

Join me ONLINE for this Mini Retreat style class that will gently challenge the body, warm the heart, and create openings for you to share your innate wisdom and authentic voice – the Song of Your Heart – in the new year.

We will focus our practice around the throat chakra – the 5th or Vishuddha Chakra, which is connected to communication, self-expression, and our ability to speak our inner truths.  By virtue of its location, the throat chakra is the energy center where our hearts and minds unite to be expressed in the world through sound.

The chakras are the 7 main energy centers of the body, and are responsible for the flow of our life force energy. Each chakra corresponds to a specific area of the body, organs and nerves.  The charkas plan an important role in our overall well-being and when an energy center becomes blocked, we often manifest physical symptoms in the body.

When the throat chakra is blocked or unbalanced, manifestations may include: being unable to give voice to that which you truly desire, being unable or fearful to speak up and express yourself, feeling anxious about speaking or communicating, outbursts of emotion, speaking over others, or remaining quiet and holding back, not expressing your emotions.

An unbalanced Throat Chakra can manifest physically as hypo- or hyper-thyroidism, teeth clenching or grinding, jaw pain, tonsillitis.

We will engage in yoga poses designed to support and gently open the Vishuddha chakra, as well as mantra, guided meditation, journaling, and intention setting.

I invite you to join me in this special class to reclaim your voice, harness the courage to unapologetically speak your truth, and experience the pure joy of your heartsong. When we allow our inner voice to be expressed in the world through our words, we change how we show up in the world, how we are perceived by ourselves and others, and expand our influence in the world.

This class is open to everyone. No yoga or meditation experience is required. Modifications and instructions will be offered for all levels.

Suggest props: a blue gem stone such as: lapis lazuli, aquamarine, turquoise, or saphire; 2 yoga blocks; a blanket, and a journal or notebook.

Advance registration is required.  $25 per person. Registration Opening Soon.
